whibbs Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 i have set up some flood lights, i have connected them to the panel outputs and have set them to only switch on when the alarm is in entry/exit mode and to mimic a zone the zone. what i need to do is to only make the lights work when it get dark, so i have set up a photocell and relay and connected them to a zone so that when the cell comes on the zone is active the lights will turn on iam not sure what to set the zone type as. but the only problem is that when the systems is set and the cell is active the alarm will be set off can any one help with this thanks wayne Wayne Hibbs
1019641 Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Put your outside lights on another area "D" for instance just take the bell and you arming codes off that area and you could use custom outputs for the switching, as you could have multiple triggers, ie, entry exit, alarm, open door, etc.... have a look in the manual and read up about custom outputs and how they could help you, All the best Dean Wholey NCC Dean.Wholey@Ntlworld.com

breff Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 If you are using an output progged as zone mimic, the zone doesn't have to be progged as anything, leave it as not used. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
justin Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Forget the zone stuff just use curtasy output and connect relay after the photocell.
aptsys Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 You can set the zone as custom but set no attributes (unless you want it to chime or something). That way you can choose your connection method - EOL, DP etc.
