Guest liamliddy Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 Following a powercut, my Scantronic 9448+ control panel is non-responsive and not working at all. I noticed one of the sensors was making a slight buzzing noise everytime it detected movement after the powercut, then also noticed the control panel was not working at all, no lights, nothing. Checked electric supply into the panel and all is as it should be. Does anyone know what it could be? and thanks in advance Liam
morph Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 If the panel is completely dead then the detectors shouldn't be doing anything. Check the battery and then the fuses. BE CAREFULL THERE IS MAINS POWER IN THE PANEL if you are anyway unsure at all get a local company to come in and repair it. Colin.
bellman Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 The Back up battery in the control panel is duff, replace it and all should be well. do make sure that the charging circuit is checked first though as duff batts have a habit of destroying the charging circuit. If you decide to do this work yourself, do be aware that there are mains voltages inside the panel that can kill, so do be carefull. hope this helps Regards Bellman Service Engineer and all round nice bloke ) The views above are mine and NOT those of my employer.
