Whilst in the house the alarm started making a noise like it why dying, I enter the pin code several times which when it finally accepted it, the whole system died and hasn't worked for months!

This is a basic wall panel connected to a box in the electricity cupboard, what are the first steps of fault finding myself, I was thinking about getting a new battery?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

hello & welcome

product information is needed to have a hope of helping

imagine your talking about a car not an alarm.

we don't know the make, model, age or fault - would a new battey help it run = god knows.

take pictures of the keypad you enter your code in and the panel in the cupboard if you don't know details.
