DaleR Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Some virgin media lines support sms sending with the default msg centre number "17094009" some VM lines dont, Is this something they can enable on the exchange?, they seem to know nothing about sms or any line facilities when I contact them, and wont let you speak to someone regarding line issues etc. Failing that, is there a generic message centre number that is charged at the same rate or less?, obviously its just AT commands being sent over a period of a few seconds, the mobile service centre numbers work but they end up charging you what at the rate of calling a mobile number. Thanks Dale
Joe Harris Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Dial 150 from a virgin line and choose option 4 (I think) for disconnections. You should get some sense out of them as they are the only call centre they have running based in the UK and not abroad. 'J
DaleR Posted September 29, 2008 Author Posted September 29, 2008 I tried that one, no one could give me an answer , P.S. I think the majority of VM's call centre is now uk based btw.
Joe Harris Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 The majority were UK perviously under NTL but they moved their billing services and some others overseas. I'll see if I can get an anser from a friend who is ex virgin staff, he was pretty clued up on it. 'J
DaleR Posted October 7, 2008 Author Posted October 7, 2008 I'm ex NTL staff btw , but thanks that will be really appreciated.
