nobbynobnob Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Im wanting to connect 3 sounders all in SAB mode, i have an additional power supply. Any one got a wiring diagram? Its a guardtec 350+ panel, guardsound 2 internal sab/scb sounders and 1 external sounder with strobe.
antinode Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Well, the easiest way would be to connect them all to the control panel and set the 2 internal sounders to SCB. That way, the Gardsounds will draw the sounder current from their own internal batteries rather than from the panel. Fiddliest way would be to connect a relay to the bell output on the panel, wire the pos and neg from all the sounders to your PSU (don't forget a battery for your PSU) and use the relay off the panel to switch the negative trigger to the sounders (send a neg from the PSU to the common contact on the relay, and connect the negative triggers from your sounders to the normally open contact on the relay) Trade Member
james.wilson Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 will the panel run 3 in sab mode? Sounds like a lot for a little panel securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

I would go with the relay option if you don't want the SCB configuration, But you will need to series tampers ve hav ze nolij or if not we ask!!!!

arfur mo Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 imho by using a 370 panel (a good BUDGET panel) i just think this project is doomed to many tears, it can be done, but all the money is going on making loads of noise with many sounders - so i ask what are you protecting? that many sounders indicates high perceived value, and why if that valuable i'd ask why are you scrimping by using tbh the bottom end of the market budget control panel? sorry o/p - but it just don't add up to me, you might as well ask as example how to tow two 10cwt trailers - with a reliant robin . regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
Guest anguscanplay Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 imho by using a 370 panel er- the O/P says he`s got a 350+ anyway, simply power the sounders 12V and 0V from the power pack, take the trigger from the panel BUT link 0V on the panel and 0V on the power pack - job done

(then at least he will get rid of any wasps or bats every time it activates ) regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
