arfur mo Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Flashguard make a reasonable looking SA too.Minn_XW.pdf i have used one made by i think C&K for flats where no external siren is allowed, it is a full SAB unit, but real easy to damage the strobe tube when fitting, blue lense white surround. if need a really noisy internal siren, the Gardtecs soundbomb/strobe combo is good low current option imo. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
nobbynobnob Posted September 30, 2008 Author Posted September 30, 2008 the risco internal sab is a neat unit .......... but i couldnt find a piccy to post.close - but DONT conenct the 12v between the power pack and the panel, just the 0V power is from the power pack, trigger (switch for you sparkies LOL) is from the panel 12v? thats what Ive done or have i missed something? risco pic here http://www.gardiner-technology.com/internal_soundersp1.htm
Guest anguscanplay Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 12v? thats what Ive done or have i missed something?risco pic here http://www.gardiner-technology.com/internal_soundersp1.htm on your piccy your showing a connection between 12v on the power pack and 12v on the control unit - thats the one to omit think of it like the sounders have a built in relay .............. power from the power pack / trigger from the panel (the linked 0V`s references it all together) power pack 12V - 12V (sounder) 0V - 0V ( sounder) 0V - tamp feed (sounder) panel trig - trig (sounder) TR - final TR (sounder) clear as mud
nobbynobnob Posted September 30, 2008 Author Posted September 30, 2008 12v? thats what Ive done or have i missed something?risco pic here http://www.gardiner-technology.com/internal_soundersp1.htm omit 12v link from psu to 2nd and 3rd sounder in drawing? how will they draw the supply from psu in alarm isnt that scb?
Guest anguscanplay Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 omit 12v link from psu to 2nd and 3rd sounder in drawing? how will they draw the supply from psu in alarm isnt that scb? did I say that ? no I said omit 12V from PANEL to first / second / third sounder - LOL sounders get 12V from powerpack, the panel, powerpack and sounders all share a comman 0V, thats how the trigger and tamper return can work even though the 12V (positive for you sparkie) is floating try it on the bench first. ?
