frailpigeon Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 After having some building work done and not using the alarm for some time, we find the 9752 keypad is now not illuminated. This was previously very useful when entering the house in the dark. Can this be fixed?

frailpigeon Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 The alarm system and keypad are all working ok - it's just the keypad illumination is not working.
magpye Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 The alarm system and keypad are all working ok - it's just the keypad illumination is not working. Anyone been 'inside' the keypad and REmoved the Keypad Backlight Jumper? That will turn it off. Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.
hpotter Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 As magpye says, there is a link in the keypad. If you press any button on the keypad and display lights up for a few seconds, then the link is missing. If you press a button and nothing, then check there is a full 12v at the keypad (no HR shorts), failing that duff keypad IMO.
frailpigeon Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 Thanks for your help - it looks like we will either have to call in an expert or switch the hall light on.
