nicalby Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Hi All, called out to galaxy 8plus not familiar with this one, usual, pad flashing power failure warning, tested batt n panel all seemed ok. found out these have an inherent problem with pcb board fuse contacts and so cleaned these and checked all connections left with alarm working fine...... been back again same prob.... tech advice line no ideas at all, just change batt and pcb,,,,,,but they dont make this pcb any more and proving hard to find one,,, any ideas for replacement, got a Galaxy16 in lock up somewhere, would this be compatible,,, is it worth digging out to fit or ???? Al

Al Had same problem once, turned out to be transformer dropping off when it was warm. would last about 2-3 hrs after power up, then drop off again to about 14v ac. Just a thought Mike I've learned so much from my mistakes, I'm thinking of making a few more..
james.wilson Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 i dont know of an 'inherent problem' with the fuse contacts on any galaxy, if it is inherent its a new one on me. As above could be transformer, regualtor or bridge rec.
