Our first technical inspection is due in a couple of weeks time and part of the inspection is a revew on our procedures for false alarm management, can anybody tell me what we may need to do to prepare for this ? Also any other advice appreciated. Thanks Chris. jobs@mintsecurity.co.uk 01246 888444
james.wilson Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 part of the things you need is a full suite of standards. One of em http://www.bsigroup.com/en/Standards-and-P...ts/BS-84732006/ is dedicated to alarm management. If its in a few weeks and you dont have these yet...... good luck. james.wilson Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 oh right. Well compliance with that then mate. You can manage without a db assuming you do all the reports etc that 8473 requires. But a db would do it for you. What management system you using? securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

We have less than 20 installs at the moment and no false history, hence the question of what to show the inspector regarding false alarm management. Chris. jobs@mintsecurity.co.uk 01246 888444
james.wilson Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 so you have never had a false alert or alarm. No sub errors etc. But if you have no false alarms and can document that then thats all you can do. But you will need to have the procedure in place for when you do have one. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

All systems are on customer reset so they may have had activations which we never get to find out about. Thanks for the advice. Chris. jobs@mintsecurity.co.uk 01246 888444
