Hi,

I have an ATI Series 8000 Panel and a number of wireless PIRs and misc detectors. Does anyone know how to factory default the panel and how to re-program the panel?

I understand that ATI were eventually bought out by //.National Installer.//, so anyone in //.National Installer.// know what I need to do...?

I have done it before, but in all honesty dont bother, buy a Domonial panel from a reputable local alarm company. Should cost about £800 - £1000 plus vat for panel, door contact, 3 pir, lcd keypad, prox keypad, 3 fobs, v loud internal siren and an external siren.

The batts should last up to 5 years! All of it is wirefree even the bell and keypads!

If you cant find a local company prepared to sell and install you one then go to www.wirefreealarm.com and fill in the reply form, they may be able to help within the next few weeks!

Gaz,

Since when do you need special equipment to reprogramme an 8000 panel <_<

the only time you will need any equipment is when the customer wants the system to be standalone then it's just a chip change. Have you had no training at all on these systems from //.National Installer.// ?????

Gaz,

Thats the same attitude //.National Installer.// have always taken if you don't understand a panel don't train your engineers just bullsh*****t your customers.

and you really wonder why people have a go at //.National Installer.// , not only have you given totaly innacurate advise but you don't seem to know anything about them anyway

I am also ex //.National Installer.// and also trained on all the systems and equipment you mentioned plus an awful lot you havent, the difference being I took the training onboard. For your interest it's the 6000 series that needs the psion programmer not the 8000.

The morral of this story being if you don't know what your talking about don't make comments until you do banghead

I don't profess to being a bigshot or the best there is thats your claim that i am not mine, as far as i'm concerned you never stop learning and if you tucked away your arrogance and got rid of that chip on your shoulder you would see that i have already proved my point.

Quote what you trained on that i ain't Unquote you obviously know nothing about any of the ATI Systems for starters and the fact that you don't know them you dissmiss them and give bad and innacurate advise,The Class 6 8000 series was a very stable monitered wireless system and it would do you no harm to gather some training on it as i believe you still use these systems though this may now have changed, and if you knew what you were talking about you would have known that you don't need a psion for an 8000 so why tell the guy a load of rubbish about something you obviously know nothing about, nice and helpfull of you (not) <_<<_<<_<
