Guest THOMSONSECURITY Posted June 30, 2003 Posted June 30, 2003 With the ADE G3, I'm getting allsorts of sillyness......... Dang thing keeps refusing to accept programming data.......... Then it forgets What have they done to this panel............ I've fitted loads of Accenta 8's & they just seem to install themselves..... Jump out of the box & voilla....... I'm seriously considering taking a machine gun to this G3 Mind you I kind of blame myself, I usually soak test new stuff @ home & fiddle with it....... This one I didn't.........(silly......silly......me) Anyone got any words to the wise with this panel?
An Engineer Posted June 30, 2003 Posted June 30, 2003 Hi, Funny thing is, I've never had any probs with this panel but everyone else at work can't get to grips with it. I think whats important to remember is follow the manual 'to the letter'. This is especially important if you have been working on other Optima or Accenta panels as every different model has different programming. I can't understand why the programming isn't universal such as much of Scantronics range. Guest THOMSONSECURITY Posted June 30, 2003 Posted June 30, 2003 Tooooo True..... I cant really see why they didn't adapt the Accenta 8 software to run the thing.......... But its not mine to reason why.......... Are Accenta 8's still available do you know?
An Engineer Posted July 2, 2003 Posted July 2, 2003 I'm not sure. I havent seen a recently fitted Accenta 8 for a while and what with the Optima range being so diverse I wouldn't have thought they'd need it. But I could be wrong.
