Change Master User Code Scantronic 9651

Hi

I have inherited this alarm panel from the previous owners who gave me both their master code and engineers code.

In the installer menu I have changed the engineer code to one of my choice, however, I am struggling to change

the master user code for user x001.

Following the user guide through the master user menu, the system doesn't seem to like me changing the code for user x001 or x002 for that matter, all other users I can edit/change.

Any ideas?

Thinking about it while I type, maybe what they have given me is not the master user number, but user x002?

If you enter what you think is the master code, then press 4 and the display shows "old code" then indeed you have the master code. If display reverts to date & time then you do not.

If you have the master code (which is user x001) you need to input the code again (not x001) to move to the next stage.

For each code you wish to change you will need to know the old code for that user. Otherwise you will need to default all codes as per eng manual.

(I assume your not trying to change any code to one beginning with a zero!)

Ah, I think you have solved the problem, I was typing in the user x001 and x002 to try and change the codes.

Will try it when I get home tonight.
