Hi All,

The 1.6A fuse that is labelled for the Strobe/Bell Box on the Optima XL6 PC Board has blown, I've ordered spares but does the fuse also protect the 13V supply to the PIR's? I've noticed that all the PIR's are down and that the required 13v supply is missing from terminals 21 & 22.

Thanks[/font]

agree.. but swap like for like...do not be tempted to put a larger fuse in... the fuse is a safety element...i would always buy two, and if the next one blows then you will need to investigate the course before you use your last fuse..... ;) fuses usually go for a reason.

Thanks Gents,

Replaced Fuse and got the 13v back, not sure what caused the fuse to blow in the first place but anyway thanks for your input.

if it happens again, i would suggest further investigation.

have you tested the system since replacing the fuse, maybe you had a false alarm and a faulty strobe/sounder has blown the fuse.

it may be ok now but if it goes into alarm the fuse may blow again, meaning it will do nothing when needed.

worth checking.
