Service Engineer Posted June 19, 2004 Posted June 19, 2004 do I put D to Black Well done, yeah D to Black ........................................................ Dave Partridge (Romec Service Engineer)
Guest Guest Posted June 20, 2004 Posted June 20, 2004 for that , obvious it may of seemed , but can anyone put me straight , when the BELL HOLD wire was removed from the old panel the bellbox sounded , i believe this is in case of a break in & the panel is smashed up , but I thought this was a -12v connection .....don't know where i picked this info up is it correct/incorrect but if its correct then connecting the blue wire to "D Permanent negative supply 0v" on the new panel would not be the same
Deltaseven Posted June 20, 2004 Posted June 20, 2004 Point taken Steve - negative 12V and 0V are technically not the same, however, in this case, both panels will be providing a 0V (or negative return or whatever you want to call it) at the specified terminal. When the hold-off voltage (or the permanent 12V) is disconnected, the bell sounds. Hope this helps...
Guest Guest Posted June 20, 2004 Posted June 20, 2004 thanks for responses , helps a great deal , i know i won't blow the box now ,
