DaleR
I have the DT7550A in the hallway which is in the exit route to the front door and a door contact switch, The alarm is set to arm when the front door is shut, the problem i'm having is when i'm leaving I trigger the pir side on the DT as im walking out, the alarm is then set, then when I walk past the closed front door from outside i trigger the microwave and the alarm goes off. If I stay still for a few sec's it's ok then i can leave, but it's a pain if im in a rush!. Can anyone advise what would be the best way to have that sensor programmed on, i.e. some form of delay on exit only etc. The microwave is turned down to absolute minimum. Many thanks, Dale
antinode
2 options here, as the 2-20 does'nt have a settle time. Do away with final door setting and program a suitable exit time. This will give you time to vacate the premises and allow the detector to settle. Enable strobe setting confirmation so that you know the system has set from a distance. Re-site the detector so that it is not pointing at the door. Trade Member

Looks like I might have to go down that route then mate, the reason it's set on final is that when this place is being looked after when im away on business I don't have to worry about them triggering the alarm if they dont leave properly within that set time period. Can't put the detector anywhere else really either, strobe on arm is set anyway.

james.wilson
sorry misunderstood. the sensor is facing the door. if the mic is penetrating the door then even if you 'get around' this you still have a problem. you said mic on minimum.... 100% on that? securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount. antinode
I would'nt be surprised James, those things seem to pick up for miles even with the MW turned all the way down... Trade Member
james.wilson
is the sensor square on to the door, or is it in the corner? securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount. Without settling timer even swaping DT for a quad might cause issues, though worth a shout first to save rewiring etc.
