DaleR Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 is the sensor square on to the door, or is it in the corner? Corner mate, and yes 100% on minimum. It's fine when PIR isnt triggered obviously, but bit of a pain if I trig the pir on exit, 60 sec on exit doing the trick at the moment, but if someone hangs around a bit longer then leaves it might pose a problem. The other thing I had in mind was using one of the outputs on the trigger header, setting it to power up on arm, but that detector takes ages to initialise on start up, also not sure if it triggers at some point during start up.
james.wilson Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 yeah dont be powering it down like that. i think your only option is to move it. You may try moving the sensor left or right as the mic on the horn is more powerful just at the edges, so a small treak into the wall may help you. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
DaleR Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 Just had another thought, might try setting the pulse count on PIR to "2" i.e. Low.
IAS Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Just had another thought, might try setting the pulse count on PIR to "2" i.e. Low. can you not switch the microwave off when unset - so called "greenline" technology?

IAS Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 wont stop the mic going through the door, but thats a risco only tech afaik its a bodge but was just wondering about getting a delay from it Q - setting the detector as "part set entry" device rather than "access" - would that make a difference?
james.wilson Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 nope not if its activating quickly one thing might work put the dt on slow zone response and the door on fast securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
A-G Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Rebuild the front wall and move the door 3 foot forward. Sorted. .... or change the detector for a different make that will allow you to reduce the range . . . PM me for access to the SSAIB members discussion area.
A-G Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 just double knock the bloody thing ......... I think this is where I came in . . . PM me for access to the SSAIB members discussion area.
