madkad Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 yes but you will find the output from those bnc's will be different Sorry how do you meen? I was only going to use one and add the T BNC conector in the line. http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Module...50&T=Module if this idea of mine cant or doesnt work I will try that, the only problem is I am now skint due to me buying the system and all the parts lol also I only have a small house and like the idea of hard wireing it to the tv's if I can, that way I have less of a bulky system for things to go wrong down the line.
SUBS Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 TV Sets ? ? ? This is a security forum......... Are you talking about a DVR for CCTV Cameras, or TV signals ? Its all chinese to me LOL ! try and explain it a little bit clearer, be more specific, and someone on here will always try and help.
james.wilson Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 you cant just put 2 'monitors' onto one signal with a t connector. You will need to connect to the first one with video in, then to the second one from the firsts video out. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

I am sorry I dont understand as the DVR has to out puts, can I not place 1 TV on one output and then the other TV on the other output? sorry for any confusion, its kind of new to me this.
james.wilson Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 you can but those outputs are not the same. I dont know that dvr (i assume its a bottom end one?) but usually you have a main monitor and a spot monitor. These outputs are different and do different jobs. They are not duplicates of the same signal. You may need a video distribution amplifier securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

You may need a video distribution amplifier thanks mate the back looks like this one, it doesnt say any different on the outputs I think I will try and do a little test on them before trying it out in full. james.wilson Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 looking at that it would appear it dont have a spot monitor output. I would also assume that they are just duplicates of each other. You will need to test it to see. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
