Alarm Protection Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Without a proper diagnosis your better getting an engineer round. I had a callout before christmas for an Optima compact that went dead during a powercut and it took the panel and bell which had to be replaced. !
Basil Posted January 3, 2009 Author Posted January 3, 2009 Thanks for those comments guys, I am awaiting receipt of a new battery and will assess and report on the situation once that's fitted.
leesutton Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 What area are you in? Have a look on the list of companies on the forum for your area and get your system serviced and covered for call out then you wont have any worries. weesidney Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Sounds like one of the glass fuses (the one for the aux power to your keypads) has blown when the power has come back on, I'd check them (if you know how to use a multimeter) If not then I'd get an engineer in to check it. The optima panels did have a small glitch in them with powercuts and the memory resetting although it wasn't excessive, we've still got a lot of them out there in the field and it does happen but not on a regular occurance. wee sidney
