flashash Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Hi anyone can help please do. I have been through 10 fuses and 2 bell box's i just dont know how to correctly re-wire a new SAB up to my outside bell box. Each time i wire it up the bell box just makes a very low beeping sound as it did when i first thought the sab was dead so replaced it. Does anyone know how to get this sorted please. From my control box inside i have the existing wiring which is STR = WHITE BELL=RED 12 VOLT=GREEN AND YELLOW 0 VOLT=BLACK TR=BLUE THERE IS A LINK BETWEEN 'TR' AND '0 VOLT' NEED TO CONNECT THE FOLLOWING SAB UNIT D= TR C= 0 VOLT B=SW A= +VE STROBE- STROBE+ SIREN= SIREN - MANY MANY THANKS

From my control box inside i have the existing wiring which is STR = WHITE BELL=RED 12 VOLT=GREEN AND YELLOW 0 VOLT=BLACK TR=BLUE THERE IS A LINK BETWEEN 'TR' AND '0 VOLT' (There should be no link if bell tamper is fitted correctly) NEED TO CONNECT THE FOLLOWING SAB UNIT D= TR ++++++++++++++++++(Blue) C= 0 VOLT +++++++++++++++(Black) B=SW A= +VE +++++++++++++++++(Yellow) STROBE- ++++++++++++++++(White) STROBE+ ++++++++++++++++(Green) SIREN= SIREN -++++++++++++++++++(Red) MANY MANY THANKS It sounds if you are blowing fuses that there could be a short on the bell cable, remove all cables from both ends and meter cables. If no shorts found then wiring the bell as above should work, if not check fuses again, if the system still not working then call an engineer.
