norcbot Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Hi there i am currently in the taking over a shop, which has got a shockingly installed 4 zone AJ600 panel. we are going to refit the unit so i was going to rewire the system and relocate some points but it seems that the jeneral opinion of these panels is that they are obsolete. There is no faults on the panel and has been operating fine for along time. so is it worth keeping finding an install manual and just running new cables, keeping the pirs and chainging the rest or bin the lot and start again. Any help or guidance would be fantastic.
hpotter Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Have a word with your insurers first, they may have a few ideas of their own (depending on value of stock etc). What happens if it false alarms a week after you have re-sited all the kit? Ask a local alarm firm if they are willing to pop round foc and give you a few prices, reason being they will do a risk assessment and imo your Aj600 wont be mentioned on any of their paperwork.
