marklawence Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Hi everybody, don't know if this is the place to ask (Sorry if it isn't) about rough quoted prices for alarm installations. I have just purchased a premesis that did not have an alarm fitted, naturally I was interested in having one installed so requested quotes from a couple of national alarm companies, equipment specified was to be grade 3 as advised by my insurance company. The national companies prices were quite high as expected so I thought I would try local to the property and found an alarm company in the local paper quotation I got was for a Galaxy G3-48 panel and 12 honeywell dualtechs along with assoicated siren, keypad etc, all this came to a total of

Some firms subsidise the install price to get the job, then charge a bit extra on the monitoring/maint to claw back etc. If the ongoing costs are competitive then the price you quote looks ok to me. Equipment- one of the better makes.
magpye Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Galaxy G3-48 panel I thought the Galaxy G3 had gone and had been superseded by the Dimension, perhaps it's old stock? Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.
