moogs Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Hi Hoping that someone might be able to help. I have ahd a house build and the electrican has fitted a accenta (non led screen) control pannel and bell box outside. it all seems to be working ok, but the blue stobe is always flashing. i have asked and the electrican says thats this is normal and that it should always be flashing but i dont think this is correct, i have tried using eng codes to reset the stobe and looking at the panel they seem to work? so what should i do? should it flash all the time? do i have to try somethiong else to reset it? is the bell box likley to be faulty? Many thanks
A-G Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 There should be some LED's flashing, but not the strobe. If it really is the strobe insist that it is put right ... otherwise you can be reported by your neighbours for causing a nuisance. . . . PM me for access to the SSAIB members discussion area.
Guest RJBsec Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 As AG said but the Accenta will flash the strobe if it needs to be reset, or of course if it is in strobe test mode - if all that is clear then there is a problem that needs sorting
hpotter Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 You could ask the electrician for your money back for the alarm system as you paid him as a professional. It might at least focus his mind to at least read the manuls and wire it correctly.
Alarm Co Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 if the keypad is responding after you press reset then the panel is fine this bell box is not wired correctly and i have a suspition as to why , but he def needs to go back and sort it for you, just tell him you spoken to a local alarm co and they have told you that it isnt wired correctly see what he ses to that?
Alarm Protection Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Are you sure its not the bellbox LED's? Was this problem constant when the house was built? !
