Dear all,

I had purchased not long ago a maglock from securitywarehouse (Risco Type) and i cant get it to hold the door does anyone know what colours should be connected i have Red, Black, Green & White.

I tried the red and black for power and green and white together to charge the magnet but no result.

Any ideas would be great

Thanks In Advanced

If theres no marking on the terminals or pcb - unusual- Use a multimeter, check across the terminals, the two with around 50 ohms or so will be the coils.

Not familiar with this particular lock, but. Does it have built in monitoring??

No it just has the bracket with the mag and 4 wires coming out of it no leds etc on it !

Any ideas what size of transformer should be used to power this and does it matter if it is ac or dc power supply ?

Kind Regards,

Norm 1 Amp power supply will do for single door use your meter to test the other pair and see if they are for open close hold mag to geather and see if you get low reading eg 1/2 ohomes worth a try but may be done through small relay on pcb on power on / off ?
