daubs8 Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Losing signal over around 1500m on a dome, anyone know of a cost effective telemetry signal booster?? Ta.
Matt the Teckie Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Hi Daubs8, What's the dome? Or more specifically, what data protocol are you using? I must admit 1500m is a loong way to be sending data, especially if you've not used 22AWG twisted pair. If it's RS485 or RS422 there are repeaters available from Maplin and CPC. This said, if the data Manchester coded there may be phase issues introduced by the cable over that kind of distance. It might also be worth contacting the dome or controller manufacturer. They may have their own data repeater. Hope this helps mate best regards Matt
