mgbgt2 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I'm considering getting a Visonic PowerMax + but want to use a conventional wired sounder (Siren, Strobe, 12v supply to battery backup, anti-tamper) but the standard configuration uses a fully wireless sounder. I've read the PowerMax + installation guide, but I'm still not sure how I would connect a wired sounder. If the sounder connections are: Hold + Hold - Trg - Stb - Return How would I connect this to the PowerMax + and would it need any special programming? Does the PowerMax + have enough power to drive a typical wired sounder?
Guest old-hand Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Watch the power consumption of the sounder Powermax+ is a bit limited. Its fairly easy to hardwire into the panel. No special programming needed. Not got a manual to hand and cannot remember the connections ( hic had a beer )
djrock Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Hello, The info is on page 6 of the install manual. Hold + goes to 12v Hold
