the-oneil Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Well, thanks to all the advise and valuable information available in these forums, i decided to proceed with enlisting the services of professional installers to fit a new alarm system I have 2 quotes so far from two NSI Gold approved installers for the system which consists of A Galaxy 2-20 panel Remote keypad with proximity & 5 fobs 3 Dual tech PIR (Using existing cables) 2 door contacts (Using existing cables) 1 external siren Installation includes connecting existing speech dialer, ADSL filter, fused spur, battery...etc. Certificate of conformity The 1st quote was for
Guest RJBsec Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Quotes are thereabouts but I would see no reason for needing a G2-44 for the size of system you require. Extra

alterEGO Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Thanks RJBI was thinking the same concerning the difference between the G2-20 & G2-44 I was actually leaning towards the 1st quote regardless, as they showed high level of professionalism in dealing with all aspects of the quote. Is that first one including monitoring for the year? if so that is a very good deal, and in London.
Guest RJBsec Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Is that first one including monitoring for the year? if so that is a very good deal, and in London. No monitoring, (using existing speech dialler), and using existing cables!

The texts are more site specific and carry time and date stamps and even the users unsetting if using that feature, great to see your children come home ect.

ADT Can't even get that up here, and using exisiting cable
the-oneil Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 I was informed by a professional installer (member here) that since the installers will be using the existing cables, then the price is steep. Both quotes exclude monitoring, but include a 1 year maintenance. Maintenance thereafter is
