Hello All,

Hope you can help have an issue with a C&K Securit 700L which previosuly gave no issues.

System consists off: 1 x RKP, 2 x PIR, 2 x (Door) Mag Reeds and multiple window smash sensors.

(FYI I have both manuals for alarm so throughly investigated plus read thru posts ;o) before posting so as to not waste anyones time!)

Alarm was in unset condition and alarm was triggered - by a tamper fault on Zone 1 (entry point).

Battery was dead - so replaced accordingly, checked fuse on PCB and OK so carried out system reset. Still no joy!

Checked all connections on PCB & RKP all seems fine. (RKP has power and beeps)

Sensors on front door seems intact and both sensors in place - hard to verify too much as flush mount within door and frame but protruding connector plate seems like all in place.

Alarm cannot be set as obviously tamper keeps triggering alarm but otherwise stable in unset condition and battery maintaining current to alarm when mains power off.

No joy so far can any assist with some further expert advice please!! at wits end!!

cheers,

Rob

Intermittent Tamper fault.

How did you know the tamper was on zone one? that panel has a global tamper?

The RKP shows the zone which triggered the alarm the alarm also when try to set the alarm zone 1 LED is on.

Anything you can think of mate!?

you have 2 problems.

As noted the tamper is gloabal there si no way for the panel to know where the tamper is, just that there is one.

zone 1 on means maybe you timed out on entry.

alternativly the cable to the front door is damaged/cut which would give both a tamper and a zone1 alarm.

Zone One is Zone One, Zone Two is Zone Two, etc etc

Tamper circuit is common to Zones 1,2,3,4 etc etc

So, if you are having a display showing Zone One has triggered it's, your description, (entry point).

Take the contact out of the door frame, if it is an outside door I bet the connections are corroded, if this is the case, don't just re-make them, replace the contact.

Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.

Hi gents,

Thanks for all your help i appreciate your feedback.

I've ordered a replacement door contact to see if that solves it.

In the interim is it possible to link out that circuit so can still enable the alarm?

cheers,

Rob

Yes there is, your door contact probably had four wires connected to it.

2 of them will have been twisted together and wrapped around one of the screws, the 2 remaining wires should be connected to 2 shiny screws (as opposed to brass coloured). Twist the 2 wires together and that should do it.

If the door contact/wiring differs from what I said post back with a description.

...unless they are corroded when they will have a horrible rust finish :P
