Guest tandyuk Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Ive just installed the above alarm, however it keeps resetting its clock to January 1st 1970. All codes and setup options remain the same. Anyone encountered this before?
bellman Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Hi Guys, I've Had this a few times, usually caused by faulty NVM chip. It's usually accompanied with other symptoms as well, i.e., other settings revert back to factory settings as well. Usually occurs on older panels that have been in for several years. Guest tandyuk Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 Hiya, Its a new alarm, that has sat in its box for the past 10 years or so. The only thing that is resetting is the date and time. Do you know if its possible to get a replacement NVM chip?
bellman Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 Howdy, Yup, Maplins and RS components sell them.. Regards Bellman Service Engineer and all round nice bloke ) The views above are mine and NOT those of my employer.
