ian.cant Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Yep, Samsung image looks out of focus or the housing glass is smudged!
marx Posted March 12, 2009 Author Posted March 12, 2009 glass on a samsung is fine and cam is focused( i have B/W Panasonic pro monitor) in B/W mode in the evening that was the best i managed to get out of it! at night pic is great but during a day it is like out of focus.
Alpat Systems Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 Like others have said it looks out of focus. You should be getting a far "sharper" image than that. Double check that you've got the White Balance set to: OUTDOOR ......what setting do you currently have for: LENS EXPOSURE BACKLIGHT SSNR
digitalwitness Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 Can you put up images of live rather than playback? To me there appears to be much higher compression applied to the Samsung image but this does not explain all the issues in the picture so a live snapshot may allow a better comparison.
james.wilson Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 agreed possibly even different recorded resolutions. id expect the samsung to hammer it for image quality alone much less anything else securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
SystemQ Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 Cabling, lens, DVR setting on that channel all could effect what is displayed on the Screen. I think if that camera was on Jeff System Q Ltd.
marx Posted March 13, 2009 Author Posted March 13, 2009 just waiting my new AG Neovo monitor and i will focus that cam again! As i sayd there might be sometihng wrong with that camera! image quality is same to all channels
digitalwitness Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 image quality is same to all channels That may be but there is obvious compression degradation of the Samsung image now that may be due to different methods of capturing the image and uploading to the website. Nevertheless it hinders our ability to fault find the image. Based on the current images there looks like compression degradation plus smudging on the camera lens/dome cover, a possible cause of the blurring of the image above the clothes line post but either side are much clearer, compression alone would have been more uniform to these areas. I agree with redbull in that the image is not representative of what I would expect from that samsung camera.
