Acet No. 21-1-026 Entry Phone Stopped Working

I have an ACET - Made in Italy - No. 21-1-026 entry phone which has a two way speaker/buzzer panel outside with an internal entry phone that controls the lock on a gate. It has recently stopped working. The bulb is no longer illuminated and appears to have blown. Should replacing the bulb be sufficient to get it working again? If so, does anyone know where to order such items? Thanks.

It may be sufficient - often on lower end entry panels, particularly AC powered units, such as yours, the panel lamp blowing will stop the unit working.

Suitable replacements should be obtainable from RS Components easily enough - they're normally bullet lamps, 12VAC, and around 32mm long - depending on the panel.

If it isn't that, then your PSU would be the next most likely candidate. If you have a test meter, you should set it to low AC, and measure across the two terminals marked ~ ~ - these are the input power to the panel. If there's nothing there, then you know your PSU is fubar'ed. A Replacement 12VAC, supply again would be available from RS - current requirements would be around an amp for the system plus power for your lock - so probably minimum 1.5A.

Had a brief look myself, and can't find either.

Best bet, I'd say Rob, would be to contact someone like Raytel in Essex (norally carry spares for just about everything) - their tech no is 01268 749311.

If anyone can get the right bit of kit they will.

Bill.

Thanks Bill.
