MCS777 Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Hello you all, I'm trying to hookup a Orbiter G18CPVC1-00 to a Max0124-00. On the rear there is a RJ45 dataconnector, does anyone know which pins are the RS485 ? Please see photo. Thanks ! Jaap

DannyTheTech Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Hello you all,I'm trying to hookup a Orbiter G18CPVC1-00 to a Max0124-00. On the rear there is a RJ45 dataconnector, does anyone know which pins are the RS485 ? Please see photo. Thanks ! Jaap Depends on what version that is. If i remember right, it was either the standard: 2 + 3 - 5 Gnd Or a VCL one of: 5 + 6 - 7 GND Sorry for the vagueness its been a while. , D
MCS777 Posted March 20, 2009 Author Posted March 20, 2009 OK Danny ! Counting from left to right pins 1 - 2 - 3 are not used. So it has to be the second one. Gonna try, will keep you posted. Thanks ! Jaap
camullins Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Hi MCS777 If i remember rightly It's the 3 pins on the right. RS485 POS NEG & GND Not sure in which order.
MCS777 Posted March 21, 2009 Author Posted March 21, 2009 Hi there, I gathered some additional info. Not all 0124's are suitable for direct mode control. Identified by yes / no sounding a beep when power is connected. Mine sounds, I was instructed to get me a Maxcom Gold unit. Sound familiar ? I would prefer working in direct mode, can control be converted ?
