teknics100 Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Ive a problem with a new 2-20 panel! Both the bell output and the strobe output are staying at 13.3 volts regardless which way they are toggled (either on or off). Talked to honeywell and they presumed that the board was faulty? Anybody come across this before? Just checking before i swap the board out for a replacement, maybe something simple that i'm overlooking? Thanks

Thanks Is the voltage present when a working bell is actually connected (ie. does the bell ring constantly) or are you just measuring it with no load applied? If it's the former I would think the panel is shot, if the latter try applying a load before writing it off.
teknics100 Posted March 20, 2009 Author Posted March 20, 2009 Tried with load connected and disconnected (Texecom box). Bell sounds when cover is taken off(bell box )or + volts is dropped out of the panel. Just wanted to check before replacement!

I don't know how Galaxy label their bell/strobe outputs but are you sure you are measuring between + hold off and switched negative (not negative hold off)? Can you post back with the terminal labels?

Thanks Both outputs are set up as standard, why toggle............. Sounds like you have played with the programming and not had a clue what you are doing................sorry to be blunt but that panel comes out of the box ready to rock and roll.
teknics100 Posted March 21, 2009 Author Posted March 21, 2009 Yeh usually "out of the box ready to rock and roll"! In this case i think not. Programming is factory settings and i was toggling bell and strobe triggers with the test menu. Done a full set and tiggered the alarm and nothing out of the bell box!
teknics100 Posted March 21, 2009 Author Posted March 21, 2009 On my way back up there on Monday to do that and if that fails ive got the replacement anyway, as i said just wanted to check, always good to know!
