2 X Odyssey 3e Sounders On A Texecom Premier 24

Afternoon Gents,

I'd appreciate some guidance here. I have pretty much completed the wiring up of my system and just have the Sounders / Bell Boxes to connect now before powering the system up and programming it. However I am struggling with the wiring and would appreciate some help.

Each sounder is wired directly from the location of the control panel (no scope to change this) using 6 core Alarm Cable.

Could someone please on how I should wire at the panel and at each of the sounders?

I also believe that I can set the Sounders to run on battery rather than from Panel Power in order to enable multiple Sounders, based on my overall config is this something I should do for both (or one, if this is an option?) of the Sounders? Because of the access to the different aspect to the house, I really do need to connect both sounders for the Alarm to be effective.

Slightly off subject, I plan to program the system using the Wintex Software and a USBCOMM, however I may on occasion want to tweak the programming with one of the RKP's, therefore, should I set up one of the RKP's as an Engineer RKP and if so will I still be able to use this as a standard RKP on a day to day basis?

For reference my system comprises of:

Texecom Premier 24 Panel (Metal Case)

Texecom 8 Zone Internal Expansion Module

Texecom COM2400

Texecom Prestige AMQD PIR's (x11)

Flush Magnetic Door Contacts (x3)

Texecom Odyssey 3e Sounders

Texecom Surface Mount Prox RKP (x2)

Texecom Surface Mount RKP (x1)

7.2Ah Battery

cheers

Don't set the keypad to engineer mode.

Wire the bells as stated in the odyssey manual using the 6th core.

Set one of the bells to scb.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

Thanks Breff.

I have checked the Odyssey manual and think I need to wire as follows:

Connect wires at sound first and then at control panel.

Panel to Sounder 1

Sounder 1

Panel to Sounder 2

Sounder 2

On Sounder 1 remove MSW2 wire and connect to spare white core.

Connect together white cores from both sounders at the control panel.

On Sounder 2 connect White core into MSW1.

On Sounder 1 move the Red battery wire from the n/c terminal to the Battery + terminal. Fit the cover and screw closed.

On Sounder 2 move the Red battery wire from the n/c terminal to the Battery + terminal. Move Jumper SP1 to the SCB position. Fit the cover and screw closed.

Power up the Control Panel, programme and test.

cheers

Great stuff, cheers Gents, your help is much appreciated. I am just a little more nervous about the Sounder piece. I have no desire to deafen, blind or electrocute myself, nor disturb the neighbours too much on a Sunday morning!
