Alarm Goes Off Every Day

Hello All,

I've got a strange problem with my Accenta G3, it goes off every day at around the same time, in fact the delay is 24 hours and 10 mins. :( It started at 09:20 and is now up to 10:10 - every day, another 10 mins. Luckily I don't work very far away so when I get the call from the dialer I can dive home and re-set it. Every time it goes off it's always the tamper circuit that is hightlighted so, I've removed the tamper from the PIRs and the only tamper left is the keypad, the dialer and the external bell box. I've checked the battery in the G3 and that's fine.

The system was installed by the previous owner of the house and most of it appears to be good job.

Any advice on how to track down the problem will be most welcome.

TIA,

Flange.

This sounds like a bell box tamper to me, the sun may be warming the box up and causing some expansion which in turn is causing the tamper switch to trigger.

This is a guess based on the fact that the sun is in a different place at a specific time on each day.

Put a link between "T" and "A" in the panel for a few days and see if the problem dissapears, if it does get a ladder out and adjust the tamper switch in the external sounder.

Thanks for that, your idea makes sense, it's got a lot warmer in the last week and that's when this started happening. I'll get a ladder out this afternoon and have a look in the box.
