SystemQ Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 system q i spent a hour on the phone to andy and julian and tried all the tips they even remote accsess my router to check every thing still no good done that still wont work Hi. Attached is a comprehensive support document. Please try and read it and digest as much as possible (I know networking can be a mine field!) The last section you can fill in and return to us, this will help us check the settings are indeed correct. Often when people start filling in the last section they find out sometimes the settings are not quite right. Assuming you can connect to the DVR locally through the LAN but not over the Internet then its fair to assume the following; The DVR is working and ok for networking. Therefore failure to connect over the Internet is likely be because of one of the following; 1- Router not set up correctly (inbound connections at least) 2- Genuine router failure 3- ISP port blocking (some ISPs have blocked ports to ease traffic at certain times in the day - done because of the massive increase in online gaming) Paul.
