Is there a programme that can be used along with necessary 232 or 485 equipment that you can test a PTZ dome on a laptop with?? And if not one would be a great idea!!

IMO you would be better of with a genie rapport 2 or similar test monitor with 485 ptz built in

What's the battery life like with the Rapport 2? I've got the Rapport 337 and the battery life is a nightmare regardles of what make of AA battery I use.

cheers,

Alex

we use the rapport and ive never had a battery issue, id guesstimate that it will do 3ish hours continous use. It has a built in pack, the lads just charge them every so often.

Just make sure when you put it away you dont just close the lid as this wont power it off. There is a battery switch on the side and we always use that before putting them away.

Infact i did a review here
