Alphatech Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Hi Can anyone help me with my BT Inspiration system please? I have moved the programing extension from 20 to 24 and for some reason this extension has developed a fault and I can no longer access the programing. Is there a way that I can reset the system so that the programing revert to extension 20? The faulty extension(24) works with a normal phone but not with a system phone. No data shows, only the word Inspiration. Thanks

There is a way to default the system, it is not straight forward, but possible. Have you proved the fault to be with the PBX as opposed to the extension wiring/socket/phone? Have you tried a socket connected to the PBX via a short length of cable? Did you program ext 24 as a PA amplifier and then move programming to it? That gooses it nicely, only retreivable with a full reset. Email me on my email below if you really need to default your system and I will discuss with you how to go about this. I prefer to ask a small fee for this as the defaulting information is very scarce on this system, and I usually do it as a call out to local customers. Don't panic, your system is more than likely recoverable! Feel free to email. Email : martin@askthetrades.co.uk
