JLC1307 Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Hello, I am looking for a possibility to upgrade my Galaxy PCB to V4.50. I have both Galaxy G500 and G504. I would like to upgrade its. It will be great if I can have the EPROM file (BIN format) for updating my system? I can grab EPROM 27C4001/27C040 Regards. J-L
james.wilson Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Not all boards revisions will take 4.5. What board version do you have? Also honeywell have 0 stock of classic 4.5 chips, so what a compnay currently has are all there are. Unless we rip out any late model classics. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
JLC1307 Posted April 9, 2009 Author Posted April 9, 2009 Hi Redbull, My PCB Galaxy 512 is REV1.5 with EPROM V1.25, I have bought an EPROM V4.50 but unfortunately I have received an EPROM for Galaxy 500 and it don't work, as I have waited more than 2 months for having the EPROM and spent a lot of time with my local provider for explaining my need I don't want to start to fight again. My PCB Galaxy 504 is REV2.0 with EPROM V4.50, but I can't initialize the system, it seems that the EPROM have a problem (moreover reading the SW I found that it is a Polish version!!!) I would like to try other EPROM, I just need the BIN file of EPROM V4.50 for G512 or G504 then I will program a new EPROM. Sorry for my English. Regards. Jean-Luc
james.wilson Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 jean luc from memory i know you cant put 4.5 software in a rev 1.5 board. I think you need a ver 2.1 or greater board for 4.5 You need version 2.0 software but to be fair their isnt much wrong with 1.25 and was a stable release. If its features of 4.xx your after then im afraid you need a more modern board. I cant help with any files as i dont have any, nor do i have anything other then 4.5 software. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Taco Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 is there any reason you're wanting to upgrade?? i found the older versions far more bug-free than the latest Every day is a school day
james.wilson Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 your a bundle of fun you aint ya lol id agree that 4.01-4.1 was a nightmare. But 4.50 is a very stable release. Still think the classics were a better panel than the newer g3 and new dimension.
