Guest Keif Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 Whilst away on holiday, a storm managed to trip the power to the house. A neighbour restored the power for us but it appears that a fuse within the alarm also blew and shortly after the backup battery ran down. I replaced the fuse in the alarm box and all appeared normal at first but I think that everything has reset. Where do I go from here? Thanks in advance
Guest dale Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 Get the yellow pages out, or email your location and we may be able to find a good engineer in your area who can reprogram the system and service it for you, if the fuse blew then there could be a serious fault with the system, also if your alarm has been in for more than 4 years the battery may be depleated and no longer function... this could destroy the recharging circuit in your panel, and lead to you having to purchase a new panel.
Paul Giles Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 Yep agree with that dale. Every security firm should be familiar with the 9448+ PG Security Systems Somerset SSAIB Certificate of Merit Installers. www.pgsecurity.co.uk
