acstec Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Hi all, I recently purchased a used bt inspiration to fit at home with a view to seperating home & business calls using the auto call routing function. however on configuring the system all I have been getting is 'line busy' having opened up the system I noticed it is equipped with an isdn upgrade card, two isdn expansion cards and a 2+6 expansion card Am I right in assuming that the line busy status is because it is looking for an isdn line out and if I want to use it with my current pstn line I will need to purchase a pstn expansion card? Thank you in anticipation for your valued time & support kw (newbie)
Lectrician Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Although there are PSTN punch down terminations on the main board, you still need to fit 1 or 2 PSTN Line cards to the main board to enable them. You do not need any of the ISDN cards. You then need to do a little bit of reprogramming in the engineers menu to enable to correct lines/types. Email : martin@askthetrades.co.uk
