Guest old-hand Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 no worriesI remember a topic about this from year ago or so and someone produced details from Yuasa or powersonic etc saying marker pen was not OK but don't have 1st hand knowledge, hence question. I bought 2 dyno machines and it looks better and comes in handy for labelling devices and other stuff too Don't date when come into stock though just rotate and (since very recently) recharge after 3 months if still on the shelf. ISO not worked to? Date in stock number, the date installed. You Gold? PS 3 months................... falling over here laffing
james.wilson Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 We date them when they come in cos its a requirement and so we can rotate them. Chorlton Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I don't "need" to date anything. I have a system and it works for me. Nothing else matters.

NitroN Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 1. Screened cable can increase capacitance, shortening the communications bus (wiring between panel and keypads/modules) distance, so it is not recommended to use this unless it is specified by the manufacturer. 2. It is also not recommended to cut or wrap spare wires, rather connect these to the common or negative connections (on both sides until these are required). The reason for this is related to induction. n
Alarm Protection Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Screen if you wanna go faster......lol....sorry it was scream at the shows at the weekend! !
james.wilson Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 As has been mentioned screened should not be required. in theory on rs485 on the correct UTP cable. But while there sometimes can be issues with screened (ie increased cap etc) it usually causes softer square waves or slow slopes. But noise can also be an issue etc. In theory a cat5 would be ideal with all spare cores grounded. However id still use a screened beldon any day over cat 5. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
