Scantronic 9752 And Novaguard Bell

Hello

I have a Scantronic 9752 panel and a Risco Novaguard 6 Panel

I have connected the bell to the panel and it triggers when powered up but neither the bell or strobe will operate on test.

The panel has an old (?) version of firmware v2.01.5415 (Dec 2007) can this be, or does this need to be upgraded.

It is wired as below

Panel Bell

0V 0V

12V +12V

NO1 S-

TR TMPR

NO2 STR

I have also jumpered from the 0V on the bell to the TMPF

I have confirmed that there is 12V at the bell and the tamper circuit works but it refuses to signal either strobe or bell when tested

I also (and this may not be linked) seemed to get a lot of zone fault alarms when working on this panel - I was replacing the bell with another one of the same model this evening and when I dropped it out of engineering mode it came up with three zone faults on the PIR's. I disabled them to test the bell

Any ideas or suggestions - other than get a different panel - gratefully received

This will stop me musing over it at night in bed !!!!!

Thanks

James

As above: how are you testing the bells?

Not sure of software you have but if your using cmd 91 & expecting sounder to go, (tick to cease) then cmd 92 for strobe (tick to cease) and no joy then try:

cmd 91, 1 for sounder (ie op1) & cmd 91, 2 for strobe. (tick to cease in each case).
