breff Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Blue tac over the piezo, who needs keypad tones The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
Guest RJBsec Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 That wont stop RKP tones though. Could run the 'C' core to the RKP through a relay and do Custom output?
antinode Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Could run the 'C' core to the RKP through a relay and do Custom output? I think it's the D connection, but removing that connection will cause the keypad to make stupid noises. I usually do it on service to stop the walk test noise driving people mad. Trade Member

Sparks Posted April 22, 2009 Author Posted April 22, 2009 What about an output on XNode or Panel tripping relay to break one leg to sounder during exit? Program as Ward Exit, activates when ward is in exit (disabling speaker) and deactivates when ward is set (re-enabling speaker) Ah-Ha! I think you have cracked it! The keypad tones won't be a problem, as the internal keypads are only in ward A, the sounder is the only problem.... Thanks for that, I'll dig out a relay and see if it solves it! (Ony thing I think may be a problem is if the relay switches back off during the rising conformation code - I will program an LED on a keypad and check that first!

Might be easier to have the internal sounder follow the bell only? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life is like a box of chocolates, some bugger always gets the nice ones!
