Sparks Posted April 22, 2009 Author Posted April 22, 2009 Doesn't look like that is going to work! I just set one of my keypad LED's to do that, but the exit sound starts before the LED lights, so there will still be a noise from the speaker (
Guest RJBsec Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 I think it's the D connection, but removing that connection will cause the keypad to make stupid noises. I usually do it on service to stop the walk test noise driving people mad. Strange, I have a customer with a keypad on the landing next to childs bedroom and permanent removal hasn't caused stupid noises for them - been like it for couple of ears!

Agreed, providing it is removed at the keypad end, if its removed at the panel end you start hearing the data through the keypad. Doesn't look like that is going to work!I just set one of my keypad LED's to do that, but the exit sound starts before the LED lights, so there will still be a noise from the speaker ( Silent set it then, providing the LED lights before the confirmation tone you'll be ok. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
