mac-willis Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 is their a special reason you want monitoring on your alarm? installing a dialler to call your mobile if the alarm was activated would make things cheaper in the long run. and reduce maintenance costs for example the company i work for charges around

james.wilson Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 True A door bell would be a cheaper. To many people use a dialer when a digi is required IMO cos 'its cheaper' securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
macwillis Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 No, it's cheaper but not necessarily better yea, what i was meaning to say was -Willis-
marx Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 i'm quite sure if u can find a small local company or mabe friends can recomend some u might get all that 30-40% cheaper. Bigger companys have to make more proffit to survive so thats where the price differents comes in! For eg i work as a subi for a big company and i could do all same jobs and sometimes even with better stuff and ~30-40% cheaper and the laber quality is same. So only thing is to find right people! Ups i hope im not in bad list now lol
Joe Harris Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Audreybell - As you have probably gathered, there is a lot of debate as to which inspectorate is most appropriate. My only advice would be to ask your insurer for their recommendations. It appears that both of the above quotes are for 'digi's anyway so check to ensure that there will be no further costs (For example SMS to mobile can be done but at what charge per text?) will you also use the functionality if you are already paying for someone to monitor signalling 24/7?... Give it some thought and ask plenty of questions. 'J
