hpotter Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Take it there is nothing else sharing the line? BB? Edit : + also have you tried reducing no of rings to less than 5? (just guessing here tbo)
dunspro Posted April 27, 2009 Author Posted April 27, 2009 There is an option of 199 rings , I haven't tried that option, will do it now. There's nothing sharing the line, I've tried it on a BT line on its own & on an extention from switchboard, all have the same effect. Just tried it on 199 rings, it doesn't answer on 2nd call. If you set the number of rings to 5 or below then it answers on the 1st or 2nd ring, which is OK for commercial with their own line but a bit useless for big domestic systems.
Guest RJBsec Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Just tried it on 199 rings, it doesn't answer on 2nd call. Then the problem must be the first dial duration, on Menvier panels it is quite critical, more or less than 1 ring and it won't pick up on 2nd ring-in. Try setting number of rings to 199 and trial 'first dial duration' from 8 - 12 (I've got a couple that need 9 and a couple tha need 11).
dunspro Posted April 27, 2009 Author Posted April 27, 2009 If using ringback on the Menvier I was told that it should be set to answer on 199 rings - is that an option on the scannie? That's it. Just got it to work. There's no mention of this in the installation manual & when you programme it via the keypad this option reads that DL answer is disabled (only on the PC is it 199 rings). Thank you.

Pretty sure its a timing problem. 85EN as RJB posted above is almost a Menvier. EDIT: oops, slow typing again, well done RJB.
