Rambler Posted May 14, 2009 Author Posted May 14, 2009 Often hard to see if a fuse is blown or not, sometimes they blow due to sudden overload and this is often visible, sometimes they go due to gradual fatigue which is not so easy to spot. (not at my age at least). You still did the right thing by replacing the battery though. Hi Guys, I do believe we've cracked it!! The new fuse did the trick and the sounder stays off now when the power is turned off. The issue with regard to the custom code is also sorted. The problem was the dodgy instructions on the quick user guide which indicated: "To customise the panel to your requirements enter your code and press * 9 1". Now that I've finally got a copy of the installation notes it makes more sense, it calls for the factory code followed by * 9 1 followed by your new code. Anyway, many thanks to you all for your help, hopefully I won't need to bother you again but its nice to know that there are helpful people out there when you're in the cacky stuff. Thanks once again. Rambler
