Stephen1984 Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I have hopefully attached a photo uploaded by another user which is the exact alarm which is fitted in my property. Basically the alarm is fitted in a two bed terraced house with one trigger in the front room (which has a delay) and one trigger in the kitchen at the back off the house which sets the alarm off immediately, the problem that i have is that the stairs come down into the kitchen so if i want to have the alarm on over night when i come down in the morning the alarm is triggered as i do not get a delay to input the number. I think there is a pressure mat on the stairs which does not work so i want to adjust the zone so it has a delay. Can anyway help????????
Rulland Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 The system will have to be programmed with a 'night' or 'part' set to allow what you require, this is usually done via engineer/installer mode and not via customer access. You will require an engineer to set up the features as needed-unless of course you have the engineer code and feel competant to do the mods!-IMHO not the way to go, insurance etc if you get it wrong . Richard.

lawandorder Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Thanks for that, not what i wanted to hear really but thanks anyway!Maybe i should just try and fix the pressure mat as i presume that will create a delay for me???? Do you know which detector is on which zone? Pressure mats do wear out and they are relatively easy to replace but did the system work as you want it to before the mat failed? If so then replace the mat (or get it replaced by a pro if you aren't confident).
Stephen1984 Posted May 12, 2009 Author Posted May 12, 2009 The system has never worked how i would want it to since i moved in, i am just presuming that the mat will be a seperate zone which provides a delay when coming downstairs in the morning. I shall have a look at the mat and look into replacement. Thanks again.

Thanks again. Others may advise otherwise but I am pretty sure that the panel you have only has one final exit zone (zone 1) so it is likely that the detector you have at the front of the house is on zone 1 along with the pressure mat.

QFA Lawandorder, If the mat allowed entry before it failed then progging may be right.
