legend Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Hello I have just moved into a new property with this alarm system fitted, this may a sound a stupid question, but as this is my first alarm system I have used! I have two budgies in a small cage, when I set my alarm, would the birds set the alarm off? Regards Dawn
TheEnforcer Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 yes they could if the PIR covers the cage. Suggest getting pet friendly sensors!
kka Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 if the birds are in line of sight, they may or may not. one thing you can do is cover the cage up when alarm is on, or move the cage so it cannot be seen. Guest old-hand Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Also pet tolerant Pir`s will still be tripped if as above the cage is in line of sight. Easier to move the cage.
