Followed the book but still can't get the keypad zones to work. What's the trick?

In Option 020 you need to tell the panel which of the zones the "RKP zone" will use.

Note, led keypad will be keypad 1, LCD will be keypad 8 (as default)

So if you only have one LCD keypad you would enter zone "09" for keypad 8.

So the panel now knows zone nine is on the keypad, now just switch on zone nine in option 203, then enter Zone Definition for this zone in option 002..

Note, the keypad zone use's Single End Of Line Resistors even if you are using Double End of Line Resistors on the rest of the zones ;)

Now wasn't that easy :lol::lol:

i have 14 other zones hardwired. and 3 keypads lcd, 2 with incoming zones. iis it true that the 2 kypd zones must be defined as the zones with nothing connected? i did get one to work, can u have azone for each kypad? it keeps saying that one of the kypad zones is open, then flipflops.

Hi Ben

Have you programmed Slot Address into each keypad? "Option 000", this must be done at each keypad.. :rolleyes:

Yes you can have a zone for each keypad, "In Option 020 you need to tell the panel which of the zones the "RKP zone" will use."

If you have 14 zone then just programme the keypad zones as 17,18..
